Mr.Laird is our class teacher and Cindy is our HLTA. We hope that you enjoy exploring our page and viewing all our learning and development as we progress throughout the school year.
Nursery 2 have made a fantastic start to the year. All the children have settled in really well and have been busy exploring and investigating their new surroundings. The boys and girls are beginning to become familiar with their new daily routine and have already began to form new friendships as well as building positive relationships with their teachers Mr.Laird and Cindy.
Following an initial period of settling in and getting to know each other, we have now introduced the children to the topic 'COLOUR'. The children have enjoyed a wide range of sensory experiences including paint mixing and experimentation as well messy play opportunities including slime and spaghetti. The children have also engaged with various science investigations to explore and investigate changing colours and making eruptions.
Our RE focus for this term is 'Welcome'. We have all enjoyed getting to know each other and our names. The children have had lots opportunities to share interesting facts about themselves as well as expressing their likes and preferences.
We are all very excited for the year ahead and all it has to offer.
The children enjoyed learning about how the seasons change throughout the year. They quickly became familiar with the various signs of autumn. The boys and give enjoyed going on an autumn scavenger hunt in our local community to collect different coloured leaves, berries and acorns., the children also loved our harvest theme as we discussed how fruit and vegetables grow. The boys and girls worked together to make hedgehog bread as well as exploring pumpkins and various sensory experiences in the tuff tray.
