School Trips

Class and Group Trips

It has always been our aim to broaden children's experiences and help to embed knowledge by offering a wide variety of out of school experiences. We are very lucky to now have ownership of two school mini buses and this enables us to deliver our aim within the local area. For trips further afield and for large groups of children e.g. a whole year group trip, we have to use local transport firms. Both these options cost money, the petrol for the mini buses and the charges implemented by the travel companies. Whilst we subsidise the costs, using Pupil Premium monies, we do ask for donations, of varying amounts, from parents/carers in order to maximise the opportunities available every term and for every year group.

Please see class pages for information about your child's class trips.

We thank you in advance for your continued support.

Residential Trips

Children in Y4 and Y6 are offered the opportunity to attend a residential trip with their year group. Y4's trip lasts for two nights and three days whilst Y6's trip lasts from Mon-Fri. As these are additional to the normal curriculum, we do ask for a full contribution but parents/carers are given plenty of advance notice in order to stagger the payments. These trips allow children to work together, have fun and develop life skills in new surroundings. Every year we also take part in the annual Liverpool Ski School trip, usually to Alpe D'Huez in the French Alps. This is offered to all children in KS2 and we usually take a group of about a dozen children from St. Christopher's. Children are accompanied on the trip by at least one member of our school staff team and always have an amazing experience.
