Cross Country is a sport that St. Christopher's have taken part in for many years. Training takes place at breaktimes with Mr Hall and is open to girls and boys in Years 4 - 6. At intervals during the year, there will be selection races in school and these will be used to choose a Cross Country team to compete against schools from across Liverpool. There is a new selection race before every main race, so everyone has lots of chances of reaching the teams. Cross country is great for making friends in different year groups and for your fitness - lots of children from our football and netball teams take part in cross country training for this reason.
Our last girls' team had a fantastic season and achieved 3rd place in the city! Well done girls, great work.
The children say - "I go to cross country because I love running and its a great way to keep fit and healthy. I have been in the team for all of the races this year and feel really proud. "
