Flashback 4 day 5 - answer the 4 quick questions

  • Purple Mash Reading Log into Purple Mash and go to your ‘to dos’. Read chapter five of ‘The Haunting of Rose Cottage’ and then answer the questions about what you have read.
  • Spelling and Maths Shed Sign in and do 10 minutes on Maths Shed and 10 minutes on Spelling Shed. Can you get to the top of the leaderboard?

English - New Text Genre Focus - Information Report

For the next 2 weeks we will be reading and understanding the contents and features of an information text on raven birds. Next week we will be using this idea to create a information report on wolves using all the reading and facts that we have learnt this half term.

Lesson Focus - To identify the layout and word features of an information report text.

Using the below power point slides, table sheet or a piece of paper to understand, locate and highlight examples in the raven information text. Can you find other examples and add them to the table?

Today we will be looking at using the four rules with fractions. Watch the video and complete the activities when it asks you to. Try to complete questions 1,2 and 3 on the sheet. If you find these tricky stop after question 3. If you want to challenge yourself complete the rest of the questions, but please don't worry if you find them difficult.
