English - New Text Genre Focus - Information Report
For the next 2 weeks we will be reading and understanding the contents and features of an information text on raven birds. Next week we will be using this idea to create a information report on wolves using all the reading and facts that we have learnt this half term.

Using the below power point and sheets answer these comprehension questions based on the text.

Lesson 4 - Researching and identifying South American animal species.
Activity 1 - Use the below video, animal website, internet, books and lesson power point slides to research, name and list different animal species found in South America and the Amazon Rain forest.
Activity 2 - Then select your favourite of these animals or an animal that you find intriguing or one that you'd like to find more information about. Create a fact file on this animal using the below template or just use plain paper.
Activity 3 - Finally using known facts and characteristics of this animal create a South American top trump card again using the below template or even on paper or a tablet device. Examples of top trump card creations and the lesson explanation can be found on the below power point file.
