English

Today's English lesson is a reading activity. You will need to open a copy of the diary entry below (you do not need to print this out) and you can complete your task on paper. When it asks you to underline words/phrases in the text, you can either do this on the PowerPoint of just make a not of these on your paper.

Maths

Simplifying Fractions Today we will be learning to simplify fractions. Watch this video and pause it to answer the questions on the sheet when it asks you to. You do not need to print the sheet off, answer the questions on a piece of paper if that is easier. The answer sheet is also there so you can mark and correct when you have finished. If you are finding any questions really difficult, please son't worry, just try your best!

PSHE

Our new PSHE topic is Going for Goals. Please work through the Powerpoint and complete the tasks. You can do the tasks on Microsoft word or on a piece of paper.

Music

This term’s music is from the BBC TEN PIECES Music scheme. Year 6’s unit is based around a piece of music called 'Connect It' by Anna Meredith, which uses body percussion instead of instruments. This is a really fun music unit and I’m sure that you will enjoy it. The PowerPoint will guide you through the lesson but if you cannot open it, then click on the weblink below, read the information, watch the videos and try to recreate parts of the performance.
