WEEKLY SPORTS CHALLENGE –  How many consequtive hoola hoops can you do? Twirl the hula hoop around your waist and count how many spins you can do before it drops to the floor! English - New Text Genre Focus - Information Report

For the next 2 weeks we will be reading and understanding the contents and features of an information text on raven birds. Next week we will be using this idea to create a information report on wolves using all the reading and facts that we have learnt this half term.

Lesson Focus - To understand the word and phrase meanings in an information raven text.

Using the below power point and sheets; use your knowledge, a dictionary or internet search to find the meaning of text words then match up the meanings to other text phrases.

Divide fractions by integers (lesson 1)

Today we will be dividing fractions by whole numbers. Watch the video and complete the activities when it asks you to. Try to complete questions 1,2 and 3 first. If you find these tricky stop after question 3. If you want to challenge yourself complete the rest of the questions, but please don't worry if you find them difficult.

Identifying and labelling the differing land regions of South America.

The below videos will show some of the incredible landscapes that can be found in the continent of South America from the famous Amazon Rain forest, longest mountain range in the world - The Andes, icy glaciers and icebergs to even deserts!

Activity - Then using the internet, an atlas and the below land information map to label and create a South American map with key to show these differing land zones.
