Science - Can I label a plant? (LESSON 1)
What do you already know about plants? Discuss the basic features of a plant and some of their uses. Create a mind map of ideas – what do we already know about plants? Work through the PowerPoint below and identify the key parts of a plant and the job of each part. Go to an outside space and identify different flowers, plants and features of them.
Activity – Can you draw a diagram of a plant and label it (preferably an observational drawing of a specimen). Add any facts you know about what job that part of the plant has. (roots, stem, petal / flower / leaf)
