Basic Skills

Fine motor skills     

     Fine motor skills help the children build up their muscle 

    strength, which helps them to write. Activities which develop 

    fine motor include: play dough, cutting, threading. Here are

       Ask the children where Ice comes from?   

      Place water outside on a cold day and see what happens to

      it. (Use the freezer if this is not possible!) What happens

Read a story/share a book

Draw a picture or use a photograph of how you celebrated Christmas. Can you write a sentence about it or talk about what happened with your family?

 

Remember to write on the line, from left to right, listen to the sounds you can hear and write them down. Don't forget your finger spaces in between words and to start with a capital letter and end with a full stop.
