English - Discovery Narrative Description
This week we will be reading and learning about a Voyage of scientific discovery across the world using books and narrative recounts of these explorers and their findings. Next week we will be using this week's reading and understanding to write a third person narrative, describing the scientific discovery of a new creature species from this journey!

Using the below power point and sheets to match the phrase meanings and explain the meaning of vocabulary from the text using synonyms and definitions.

Today we will be forming equations. Watch the video below and then complete the questions on the sheet. Do questions 1, 2, and 3. If you find these questions ok, then carry on with the rest of the sheet. If you find them tricky, then stop after question 3.
Art
Your art task this week is to create a final version of your favourite sketch from last half term. Look back through all of the animal sketches you have done. We would usually turn our favourite into watercolour pictures, however, that might be a bit difficult at home. Firstly, sketch your favourite picture again (you might want to make some changes to make it even better or add more detail) then go around the outline of your sketch with a black pen (don't worry if you haven't got one). Now it is time to add some colour. You can use anything you have available at home - pencils, felts, paints, watercolours, chalks etc). Don't forget to send photographs of your completed versions in through Class Dojos, we can't wait to see them!
