Prayer & Liturgy

At St Christopher's Catholic Primary School, prayer and liturgy are central to our Catholic life and mission: We embrace each new day and live the Jesus way. Guided by the Prayer and Liturgy Directory, To Love You More Dearly, we provide opportunities for every child to encounter God, deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and grow in faith.

Prayer is an integral part of each school day. Through daily prayer, the celebration of the Word, Mass, reflection, Scripture and the liturgical seasons, children are invited to respond to God’s love and become active participants in the prayer life of the Church. As they progress through school, pupils develop the confidence to plan, lead and evaluate prayer and liturgy with increasing independence.

Our prayer and liturgy are inclusive, meaningful and rooted in the traditions of the Catholic Church. They inspire our children to live out the Gospel through acts of kindness, compassion and service, ensuring that our faith is reflected not only in our worship, but also in the way we learn, care for one another and contribute to our local and global communities.
