At St Christopher's Catholic Primary School, we are delighted to be working towards achieving the CAFOD LiveSimply Award.

We have officially submitted our LiveSimply action plan and have begun our journey towards this national award, which recognises schools that are committed to living out the Gospel values through faith, care for creation and service to others.

The LiveSimply Award encourages schools to:

• Live Simply – appreciating what truly matters, taking time for prayer and reflection, and valuing people over possessions.
• Live Sustainably – caring for God’s creation by making environmentally responsible choices and protecting our common home.
• Live in Solidarity – standing alongside those in need locally and globally through acts of charity, justice and compassion.

Our exciting programme of activities will involve the whole school community, including pupils, staff, families, parishioners and governors. Throughout 2026/27 and 2027/28 we will take part in initiatives such as:

• Supporting local foodbanks and global CAFOD projects;
• Fairtrade and sustainability campaigns;
• CAFOD World Gifts Project
• Refugee Week
• School and Community projects inspired by Laudato Si’, to improve our school grounds and develop sustainability themes. 
• Creating an outdoor prayer and reflection space;
• Creating stronger links with our Community and Parish

As a Catholic school, our mission calls us to Care, Learn and Inspire. Working towards the LiveSimply Award is an important part of how we put our faith into action and help our children become responsible, compassionate stewards of God’s creation.
