The Catholicity of our school is evident in every aspect of our school life, which stems from our Mission Statement, and which is evident day to day, ensuring that we 'Care, Learn and Inspire', as we live our Faith. Our school is based on love and respect for one another, demonstrating the values of justice and peace through care, compassion and forgiveness.

Our school is a welcoming environment and we encourage pupils to appreciate the importance of belonging to a welcoming community, a family in Christ.

We have a strong partnership with home, community and parish.  Our parish Priest, Fr Edward Cain, celebrates mass regularly at school, class and special masses both in our Parish Church – St Ambrose, and here in school. 

In our weekly Celebrations of the Word, we articulate and remind all of the high expectations and aspirations, with an emphasis on resilience, that we have and an acknowledgement of pupils’ efforts in fulfilling our Mission and Gospel Values.

Our Mission Statement is not merely words but the catalyst that ensures that our school fulfils our Catholic Mission to serve God with joy and hope. Our behaviour policy encourages reflection on the choices which have been made and the impact those choices have had on another person.

Our pupils embrace the principles of Laudato Si, as custodians of God’s Creation, through an awareness of key environmental issues which is sometimes a focus for Liturgy and Prayer.

Each term we undertake a charitable deed. We regularly contribute to our local Food Bank - at the Noah's Ark Centre (especially during Harvest). We have sent funds to British Legion Poppy Appeal, CAFOD, Marie Curie & supported local needs.

We believe our children play an active role by contributing and shaping the Catholic character of our school. Roles of responsibility, such as the School Council, Eco-Council and School Leadership Team, enable our children to promote justice for all and demonstrate respect to all.

All our children know (as do their parents) that they are loved, respected, cared for and valued. They are nurtured in the Catholic Faith and our Catholic ethos is evident to all who visit our school. Our motto of “Caring, Learning and Inspiring” is continually promoted and celebrated. We endorse that everyone has a personal gift from God and it is our duty to make each person aware of their talent and to share it with others. In doing so, we share God’s love, and make our world a better place for each of us. Our Catholic ethos and our commitment to the Gospel values are evident in the way we interact with our parents and the wider community through our work with outside agencies to support our families.

As a Catholic School, there is outstanding spiritual, moral, social and cultural emphasis on every aspect of school life. It is our work to sow the seeds for every child’s future, guiding them to make correct choices in life. We feel we provide outstanding pastoral care for our children and our families.

Through our work on the Live Simply Award, we have accepted the invitation to follow in the footsteps of Jesus by making links between our faith and the environmental issues and crises we are faced with today. Along this journey, our children are responding by thinking, planning and delivering faith-inspired actions, for example, charity collections throughout the year and engaging with CAFOD.

Our school community made an amazing effort to donate for the harvest this year.  All donations were taken to the Noah's Ark Food Bank.

Our school leadership team were amazing in deciding for themselves which cause to raise money for.  They decided to raise money for the Marie Curie Cancer Centre in Woolton.  They had cake sales and raffles and made over £200.
