    The Preparation Programme ‘With You Always’ invites you to take an important active part readying your Child for First Communion.

     

    Your NEXT SESSION: CHURCH WALK 3

     

    CHURCH SEARCH

    You are invited to bring and take your Child around Church—to complete with them

    the Work Sheets for Church Learning Walk 3.

    —there will be small activities for you to help your child with

     

    There will be 2 Opportunities for the Church Learning Walk

     

    1.       St Ambrose Church:     Thursday Afternoon  22nd March  

              Time Zone: 3.30pm > 6.30pm   [last arrivals 6pm]

              Bring your Child to Church for the CHURCH SEARCH

    anytime during the Time Zone ~ It takes about 20/25 minutes to complete.

     

    1.       St Christopher:   Friday Afternoon  23rd March        

              Time Zone: 2pm > 5.30pm  [last arrivals 5pm]

     

    NOTE 1:    If you cannot come along yourself then please ask another member of Family or one of their Godparents as your Child’s Helper for this activity

     

    NOTE 2:    The First Communion Chart will be Displayed in Church

     

    NOTE 3:    These activities are considered Essential parts of Preparation

  • Free School Meals - Online Application Form

    All Key Stage 1 children are entitled to free meals under the universal infant free school meals policy.  For children in Years 3 to 6, meals cost £1.80 a day or £9.00 per week. 

     

    If you think you are eligible for free school meals (and have not already applied) you can call-in to any One Stop Shop or apply online for an instant answer at:

    We urge those parents who are eligible for free school meals to make a formal application, even if your child has a packed lunch, as this allows school to claim additional funding (pupil premium) for new equipment and resources.

     

  • CAFOD Fun Run

    If you are looking to blow away some cobwebs after the Christmas festivities then the CAFOD Fun Run is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a fun event and help others at Christmas! Please encourage your friends and family to come to run or walk or toddle (from 2 – 8 kms) to raise money for those who need it most! The Fun Run is on Wednesday 27th December at Wavertree Park & Athletics Centre, Wellington Road, L15 4LE at 1pm. Registration opens at noon. Signing up costs £7 per person, £15 for a family or £70 for a group of 10 or more people and sponsorship forms are available. Prizes for the best fancy dress costumes!     Thankyou to everyone who has supported our 'Bake for Ben' Fridays!

    Year 5 started the ball rolling and raised £230 at their cake sale on October 2nd

    Year 2 (9th Oct) - £431

    Year 6 (16th Oct) - £285

    Year 3 (6th Nov) - £160

    Year 1 (13th Nov) - £135

    Year 4 (20th Nov) - £140

    Other fundraising activities for Ben's Cause, linked to school:

    AUTUMN FIRST HALF TERM

    • Charlotte Metcalfe's Birthday Cake Sale (Y4) - £350 raised which has already been paid into the charity
    • RM Pyjama and DVD Afternoon - £59 raised
    • EYFS Face Painting Day - £80 raised
    • Voluntary donations from visitors to school - £50
    • Kaytlyn Carmichael (Y4) Sweet sale at home - £9
    • Luca Moorhead (Y5), Faith Moorhead (YR), Reece Oldfield (Y4) and seven of their cousins Penny Pot - £157.50
    • Reece Oldfield - £10 from his pocket money
    • Matthew Langan - £17 pennies jar
    • Ebony White - £9 family cake sale
    • £750 cheque from St. Ambrose School raised through an own clothes day and cake sale (paid in by a separate cheque)

     

    All money raised will be paid into the 'Ben's Cause' Charity appeal at the end of each half term.

  • Children in Need, 'Kandy' Day

    Thankyou to all parents/carers for supporting our charity fund raising. Special thanks to those of you who sent sweets in for sale or for the raffle. Whilst we don't usually encourage children to bring sweets into school we made an exception for the purpose of our fund raising and it's been a great success. Thanks!

    Well done to all the children who will be receiving their third prize today for being in the line at 8:55am every day this year. They will have already received a pencil, eraser and today a ruler.
